Ex-UFC star Ronda Rousey is on the warpath, releasing another message slating UFC executives after Netflix added another fight to their stacked MMA debut event this May.
Their triple headliner trundles on with Rousey vs. Carano in the main, Francis Ngannou vs. Philipe Lins, and now Nate Diaz vs. Mike Perry. As for name value, Netflix’s debut event currently stomps UFC’s ‘Freedom 250’ card, which was a tremendous disappointment to fans when it was revealed at UFC 326.

‘Rowdy’ has already been vocal about UFC fighter pay and her treatment, not holding back her scathing assessments during the Netflix MMA build-up. In her latest dig, she targeted UFC Chief Business Officer Hunter Campbell, remarking, “I’m coming for your job.”
“Welcome to the revolution, Nate Diaz & Mike Perry,” Rousey wrote on X. “It’s the FIGHTERS vs. the establishment – and we’re gunna win! May 16th on Netflix. P.S, Hunter Campbell pissed off the wrong b****, I’m coming for your job motherf*****.”
Negotiations for a Rousey vs. Carano fight under the UFC banner appear to have fallen through sometime in 2025, which led to the Netflix MMA debut. Helwani concurred with this narrative in a post on March 11, which Rousey reshared.
It’s another tremendous fight that the UFC fumbled—for one reason or another. Other such fights include Jon Jones vs. Tom Aspinall and Ilia Topuria vs. Islam Makhachev.
‘Rowdy’ mentioned that UFC is “not about putting on the best fights possible anymore,” during her Netflix MMA press conference. “… They need to be saved from themselves.”
2026 could be the year UFC finally gets a decent matchup. Netflix’s MMA debut is gearing up to draw more eyes to the sport and its stars.
This time, it won’t be the UFC in the spotlight, and they may have to adjust their strategy going forward if they don’t want to lose their stranglehold on the sport.
