UFC history shows that 37% of fighters in Alexander Volkanovski’s position lose at UFC 333.

Not only does ‘The Great’ have to contend with his status as an ageing champion, but he must also overcome a five-year age gap between him and Movsar Evloev.

Of 2,866 UFC fights that meet this criteria (one fighter is five years older), only 1,074 fighters won. A stunning 37% of fighters win when they’re five years older than their opponent.

Evloev is one of three fighters in UFC history to win 10 decisions without losing any. Extending his winning streak to 11 at UFC 333 would put him among 15 other fighters in the UFC record books with 11-or-more-fight winning streaks.

Volkanovski is, without a doubt, up against the odds yet again at UFC 333. Let’s see if ‘The Great’ can further cement his place as one of the UFC’s most legendary champions.
